Where Dalton Dowson is from, there's a whole lot of denim and plaid and not a whole lot of style.
"I'm not gonna be back to that ever," he says. He started modelling at the end of grade 12 and @daltonneverreturned was born.
He didn't realize that fashion was something he could do for a living until two years ago. "Once I made that realization," he says, "I was like: 'Why not?'"
He birthed a businesses out of his own closet called KindyNos (the English pronunciation of the Greek word for danger), where he designs custom clothing while simultaneously studying in the Ivey Business School.

"I make my own stuff because no one else can," he says. "You can't reproduce it like I made it. It's like one of one type stuff. That's what I really like to lean towards now; thrifting a garment and then up-cycling it."

Dowson says that he will only put something on if he feels like it represents him.
He has noticed that a trend will insert itself on Western's campus via one person. Then another person will wear it. And then all of a sudden, 70 people are wearing it.
This one trendsetter is most probably Dowson. He certainly has the foresight and creativity.
"I'm just I'm just doing whatever the hell I want. I don't really care about what you think about my clothes. Doesn't change anything for me."
